Scholarships and bursaries

Receiving a scholarship or bursary can offer vital support for students, providing them with additional financial help during their studies.
At Solent, we offer a number of non-repayable scholarships and bursaries for UK or overseas students, and for undergraduate and postgraduate studies.
What is a scholarship?
As well as providing financial support, scholarships also recognise a student's achievement, ambition, and potential. A scholarship is normally awarded to an applicant who has excelled in a certain subject or area, or who meets certain conditions at application.Â
What is a bursary?
A bursary is a means-tested financial award given to students who need additional financial support to help them through their studies.
