Deadline:14th January 2026

Applications closed

To further support students who receive a contextual offer, Southampton Solent University provides the opportunity to access a one-off contextual offer scholarship, awarded after enrolment.

For the 2026/27 academic year, there are 150 scholarships available, each worth £500. These are awarded on a first-come, first-served basis, determined by the order in which your contextual offer is accepted by you.

How the scholarship is awarded

  • A £500 credit applied to the student’s Solent University Everyday catering app account.
  • The Everyday app can be used to purchase food and drink across all University catering outlets, including Costa Coffee and Starbucks.
  • The scholarship is non-cash (provided as credit only), non-means-tested and non-repayable
  • It can be received in addition to other funding (excluding other Southampton Solent University scholarships).
  • The University reserves the right to apply the scholarship on a pro-rata basis if a student suspends or withdraws from study during the academic year. Please refer to our Student Fees and Finance section for more information.

Who is eligible?

To be considered for the contextual offer scholarship, students must:

  • Apply to study at Solent University before the UCAS equal consideration deadline of 14 January 2026 and make Southampton Solent University their firm choice.
  • Have been made a contextual offer and received confirmation of this offer via the university’s applicant portal.
  • Successfully enrol onto their chosen Southampton Solent University undergraduate course beginning in September 2026.
  • Not be in receipt of any other Southampton Solent University scholarship.

How to apply

  • No separate application is required.
  • Once you have received a contextual offer from us and have your official confirmation letter via the applicant portal, simply enrol on to the first year of your undergraduate course.
  • After enrolment, our admissions team will assess your eligibility for the scholarship.
  • If successful, you will be contacted directly with confirmation of your award and guidance what to do next.

Please note

Contextual offer scholarships are not guaranteed for all contextual offer holders, as additional assessments are made by our admissions team to determine eligibility. The number of scholarships available are limited and awarded on a first-come, first-served basis, based on admissions checks, when UCAS applications are received and when contextual offers are accepted by applicants.

The contextual offer scholarship forms part of Southampton Solent University’s Access and Participation Plan and reflects the University’s commitment to widening participation and supporting students from under-represented backgrounds. This award is designed to provide additional financial support to students who receive contextual offers, recognising the barriers they may have faced in accessing higher education and supporting their successful transition and engagement with undergraduate study.
