The Experience

Uni’s more than what you learn – it’s the people you meet, the connections you make, the clubs, the societies, the activities, the nights out, the nights in, the days spent chatting and laughing in the park. It’s the whole experience.

And we want that experience to be the best of your life. With dedicated support teams for finance, wellbeing, learning support, disability support, health, international or faith issues, we’re there when you need us – and we get out of your way when you don’t.

Add in the Students’ Union, with dozens of student societies and their own independent student support network. And a huge range of sports clubs, from kickboxing to cheerleading, centred around our fantastic on-campus sports complex... and you’ll have everything you could want from your uni experience.

Paying for uni

There are two main costs of going to uni – tuition fees and living costs. Tuition fees vary depending on your course, whether you're full-time or part-time, and where in the world you're coming from. Living costs cover everything else – accommodation, food, bills and fun.

If you’re a UK student, loans are available to help with both – more at our UK student finance page.

International students can find out more from our international page.

And wherever you’re from, there are bursaries and scholarships which can help. Visit our bursaries and scholarships page for more info

Support and wellbeing

The Student Hub

Our Student Hub is your first point of contact for help and advice – a central space based in our Andrews building, where you can access all the information and support you may need during your time at Solent. If they don’t have the answer, they can put you in touch with the team who do.
