Year 6 campus visits - Discovery Days (11 - 13 June 2024)

Solent University will be hosting a series of aspiration raising events on campus visits for disadvantaged year 6 learners who attend a primary school in Southampton.

These are available on the following dates:

• 11 June 2024
• 12 June 2024
• 13 June 2024

This opportunity for year 6 learners allows them to explore the world of Higher Education. Their day includes a Campus Treasure Hunt, a design your own university competition and the chance to find out what university is all about from our Student Ambassadors.

Schools may bring 30, 60 or 90 learners and we will provide funding to support the cost of travel with payment made after the event. To receive this payment you will be required to complete the relevant financial processes at least 4 weeks prior to your school’s visit.

The amount of funding offered is subject to discussion but will depend on the distance of your school from the university and number of learners attending the campus visit.
