Library

The Library is open for Solent students and staff to access computers and study spaces, and for browsing the shelves and borrowing items.

About the library

The library provides resources, services and expertise to support the University’s students and staff in learning, research and teaching.

The library is open 24/7 during peak periods in term time and has WiFi throughout. Situated over five floors, the library gives students and staff access to over 150,000 books in print and online, and over 33,000 ejournals, as well as group and individual study spaces, 400 PCs and Macs, 100 laptops, and even a student kitchen!

The friendly and knowledgeable team can help you to make the best use of the library and its resources and services. There is a dedicated team of Information Librarians who are experts on the resources available to support your studies. You can access the Libguide for your subject to find out more or email the information librarians for further support. And if you have a question but can’t get to the library in person, there’s the option to speak with a member of the team on live chat.
