Restart a Heart Day
Do you know what to do if somebody's heart stops? Learn this Restart a Heart Day.
This Re-start a Heart Day, Solent is playing its part in ensuring all students and staff have the skills, knowledge, and confidence to save a life when faced with someone who has collapsed and stopped breathing by raising awareness of the British Heart Foundation and their RevivR training tool.

What is RevivR?
RevivR is an interactive online training tool which:
- Teaches you how to recognise a cardiac arrest.
- Outlines what to do in an emergency.
- Simulates a 999 call.
- Teaches you how to use a defibrillator and offers feedback on technique.
Once you've completed your training, you will have the option to download a CPR certificate.
Why take part?
Did you know that research from the British Heart Foundation (April 2023) found that:
- Less than 10% of people survive an out-of-hospital cardiac arrest.
- An estimated 15% of cardiac arrests occur in the workplace.
- Early CPR and defibrillation can more than double the chances of a person's survival.
- Sudden cardiac arrest is the main cause of death in young adults in the UK.
The good news is, your two hands could save a life.
