What is the Solent Insight Series?

Welcome to the Solent Insight Series, a virtual webinar series designed for prospective students, although parents, carers, teachers and advisers are welcome along too. This series will guide you through all the key stages of the university application process, from exploring courses and making your UCAS application, to writing a standout personal statement and finding part time work.

Each session is packed with advice and tips to help you navigate the journey to university with confidence. Whether you’re just starting to explore your options or ready to submit your application, the Solent Insight Series has you covered!

What does this 'Starting your application and personal statement' webinar have in store?

Join us as we take you through the UCAS application process for university. This session will cover everything you need to know, from understanding key deadlines to submitting your application. Additionally, we'll dive into the art of constructing a personal statement. Learn how to highlight your strengths, showcase your passions, and stand out from the competition. This is an essential event for anyone planning to apply to university through UCAS.

How to book your next session

The Solent Insight Series features six webinars between September 2024 and August 2025. We would love to see you in all of them. They are all on Microsoft Teams from 5.30pm to 6.30pm on select Mondays.

Three of the six webinars occur twice so you only need to attend one of the dates, but you are welcome to attend again if you like. Those ones are:
