MSc Logistics Management at Solent earns prestigious CIPS accreditation

1 June 2026

Southampton Solent University’s MSc Logistics Management course has been officially accredited by the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS), effective from 1 September 2026, giving graduates an internationally recognised professional advantage in a rapidly growing global sector.

Students enrolling from September 2026 will benefit from the accreditation.

CIPS is the world's largest professional body for procurement and supply management, and its accreditation signals that the University’s course is aligned with the knowledge, skills and professional standards employers expect at a global level.

For students, the accreditation supports progression towards MCIPS membership, a globally respected benchmark in the procurement and logistics profession, and access to CIPS industry networks and professional development resources.

"Achieving CIPS accreditation is a major recognition of the quality, relevance, and industry focus of our MSc Logistics Management programme,” says Postgraduate Course Lead, Dr Emmanuel Quansah.

“The logistics and supply chain sector is evolving rapidly, shaped by global disruption, digital transformation, sustainability challenges and geopolitical uncertainty. Our partnership with CIPS ensures students graduate with knowledge and skills that are aligned with current industry expectations and internationally recognised professional standards."

The MSc Logistics Management course is designed around real-world applications, equipping students with the analytical, leadership and problem-solving capabilities needed to succeed, from advanced logistics strategy to global supply chain operations.

Andrea Faustino, Deputy Director of Education, adds: "Professional accreditation plays an increasingly important role in graduate employability and career progression. This accreditation demonstrates the strength of the programme and the dedication of the academic team to delivering a learning experience that is relevant, applied, and connected to industry needs.”

The accreditation further strengthens Solent's growing portfolio of professionally aligned postgraduate courses and reflects the University's commitment to practice-led education that prepares students for long-term career success in a rapidly changing world.
