Solent's Interior Design ranks among UK's top 10

The Guardian Good University Guide is one of the UK's most respected university rankings. Published annually, it assesses institutions and subject areas using metrics including student satisfaction, continuation rates and graduate career outcomes.

They graduate with the creative confidence, commercial awareness and professional experience needed to make their mark in the design industry.”

Taught by experienced industry professionals, Solent’s SBID-accredited BA (Hons) Interior Design Decoration and BA (Hons) Interior Design courses gives students the opportunity to work on live industry briefs from high profile organisations, helping them build professional portfolios and develop valuable industry connections before graduation.

This academic year, they will be working with internationally renowned design studio Winch Design, specialists in luxury yacht, private jet and architectural design. Students will receive briefs developed with the company, present their ideas to industry professionals and visit the firm's London offices.

Further industry projects will be delivered in partnership with Morgan Lovell and Isle of Wight-based Archipelago Expedition Yachts, giving students opportunities to respond to real-world design challenges and gain insight into professional practice.

This practical approach helps students develop the skills, confidence and commercial awareness sought by employers, creating career ready graduates who are ready to make an impact in the creative industries from day one.
