Solent Sub-Aqua brings new students together with experienced divers and instructors to go over theory, pool, and open water, ending with an international qualification to 20m.
Those already trained, whatever the level or agency, are always welcome at Solent. You can just dive, do another level or maybe even think about the instructor path. Learning and diving at uni is one of the greatest ways of doing scuba. Plenty of support, socials and making of good friends.
So come get involved in the award winning club that will introduce you to the new fun world of scuba.
Membership
- For those new to diving - BSAC membership, Ocean Diver course materials, and Club subs: £320.
- The use of all club equipment including drysuits is free
Existing divers and Instructors often get reductions on the above – Contact us for more information - Grant club affiliation fee: £20
Training
Club meets: Tuesdays 7pm in TS212
First club meet is Tuesday 29 September
Pool sessions are held on some Tuesdays and weekends
Dive courses start on Tuesday 6 October at 7pm in TS212
First pool session starts at Andark Diving on Tuesday 13 October
Open water training is on weekends (midweek February 27 onwards)
Boat diving is primarily in early Spring
The Club uses Andark Lake at Swanwick for the initial open water training
(same location as the pool) and then moves onto our deep-water inland site at Vobster in Somerset.
Boat diving will be located in Swanage and Weymouth. They have a lot more boats along with some good shore dives around Swanage and Chesil.
