Biography
Emmanuel Quansah is a Senior Lecturer in business management with specialisation in operations, project and supply chain management.
He holds a PhD in Logistics and Supply Chain Management from KNUST (Ghana) and a Master’s in Industrial Management (Operations Management Specialisation) from KTH (Sweden).
His current research interests include supply chain resilience and complexity, logistics sustainability, and the digital transformation of supply chains.
He is actively engaged in training and equipping undergraduate and postgraduate students with strong theoretical and practical competencies in strategy, operations, project and supply chain management. His research has led to collaborative relationships and funded projects with industry partners and publications in academic journals. He serves as a reviewer for the Africa Journal of Management and the Decision Sciences Institute.
Emmanuel has consulted for several companies in the area of supply chain systems strengthening, distribution network design, optimisation, operations strategy deployment, technology adoption and sustainability (reverse logistics).
He is a member of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT-UK) and the Association of Supply Chain Management (ASCM-USA).

Emmanuel has consulted for several companies as an expert in supply chain design and operational planning to aid with supply chain systems strengthening, distribution network planning, optimisation and operations strategy deployment.
Some of his past projects include the design and implementation of a last-mile distribution strategy for commodity items, implementation of a national pharmaceutical traceability strategy, development of strategic and operational plans, and the optimisation of regional distribution centres for a global original equipment manufacturer.
Prior to embarking on an academic career, Emmanuel worked in the telecommunications and IT industry as a Systems Analyst, Quality Assurance Analyst and Cell Planning Engineer.
