Ever thought about working for yourself and starting your own business? How about working as a creative freelancer?
If so, the employability and enterprise service here at Solent can help you to succeed with advice and practical support. Enterprise and entrepreneurship are both deeply embedded in the University's culture and we are very proud of the fact that 40% of businesses started at Southampton Solent University are still running three years after commencing trading.
Right from the start of your time here at Solent, you will be able to enter competitions, pitch your business idea, join our student enterprise societies (Sparks and Enactus) and speak to dedicated enterprise advisors.
Students in years two and three can take credit-bearing entrepreneurial units, access office space for start up businesses and apply for funding from the University through the Solent entrepreneurs' scheme. Graduates are entitled to business support and career advice for up to three years after graduation.
