I think the EDI strategy is going to continue the work that the university is already doing but making it really clear in writing and publishing it for everyone to read. So it's really making a statement of this is who we are, this is what we stand for, and this is what we're about and it will just reinforce the good work that Solent is already doing and it enables me to signpost in my own roles that, yes, Solent is doing these things and that we are an inclusive and equal environment to work or study in really. Solent is a community - I think that is the key word there - that is a community of all different kinds of people, staff and students, and the inner community. Everyone's voice gets heard and so I think that here at Solent is a really good example where everyone does have a voice and each voice has a space to speak their mind and be who they are.
