Hi, I'm Chloe Boyne. I'm Matthew Cook. And I've just completed my placement as the video and social intern at ESPN. And I'm a content and media assistant at Hampshire Cricket.

I was really keen on doing a placement because I thought it would set me apart when applying for jobs after I graduate.

Before I even agreed to go to Solen Uni, I thought "I really want a placement", and Solent's placements were second to none. The placement process was good. It naturally takes time like all things do, but if you put yourself out there, you make yourself available, something will come up. The guy at the cricket was really keen to have me on board and so I joined Hampshire Cricket from there.

I've had quite possibly the most incredible year ever working for a company like ESPN. I've had some amazing experiences creating graphics and video content to go across the various ESPN social channels.

The placement experience has been incredible. I've absolutely loved it. My best piece of advice - just apply because if you don't apply, you're not even giving yourself a chance. Throw yourself out there. Go out of your comfort zone and you know, you'll only get better by doing that.
