Published annually, the QS World University Rankings is a ratings system that indexes the world's leading higher education institutions in areas such as employability, teaching, facilities and other additional categories that may not be included in 'traditional' ranking systems. Over 50 different indicators are considered and universities are scored from one to five stars plus in eight wider categories, as well as achieving an overall rating, depending on meeting criteria requirements and the number of points achieved in the evaluation.
The rankings allow prospective students to explore and compare universities by region or subject.
2017 is the first year that Solent University has featured in the Rankings. Overall we scored three stars, and we are extremely proud to have scored five stars each for our teaching and inclusivity, and four stars each for our facilities and employability.
