General presentations
Our general presentations cover a wide range of subjects, helping to provide you with everything there is to know about Southampton Solent University.
At today's event, our general presentations cover the application process (for those who haven't yet applied) and what happens now you have applied (for those who have). There will also be the opportunity to find out about sport at Solent, postgraduate research studies and much more. Why not start your day by joining our Vice Chancellor, James Knowles, as he welcomes you to Southampton Solent University.Â
You can pick and choose which presentations you might wish to plan into your schedule.Â

Undergraduate course talks and tasters
Undergraduate course talks last for 1-hour and take place from 10.15am-11.15am.
Course talks are perfect for those who haven't attended a Southampton Solent University open day before or for those who have not applied. Course talks provide an opportunity to find out more about your chosen course of study and are hosted by the academic team.Â
Undergraduate course tasters last up to 2-hours and take place from 12.15pm-2.15pm.
Our course tasters offer an interactive session, hosted by our academic teams, providing you with hands-on experience of studying your chosen course at Solent University.Â
All undergraduate students are welcome to attend the course taster, even if you have not yet applied. If you haven't applied, then we would recommend attending the course talk in the morning.Â
Please note course tasters are for students only. Guests are welcome to attend the Deans tours or talks at 12.30pm-1.30pm. Alternatively, head up to our guest lounge for complimentary refreshments, explore the city or visit one of our many information hubs across the Spark Atrium.
If you are unsure on how to find your course talk or taster, then visit the information hub in the Spark Atrium and one of our friendly Student Ambassadors will guide you to your room.Â
