Our multi-million-pound outdoor sports complex hosts practical teaching activities and a range of other recreational and competitive sporting opportunities.
About Test Park
Test Park hosts the majority of Team Solent football, rugby, and American football training sessions and fixtures. We welcome spectators for Team Solent Football's Sydenham's Wessex Premier League fixtures, or for something different, our American football teams, Solent Redhawks and Solent Thrashers.Â
Test Park also provides a vital resource for the practical training elements our students on our football degree programmes have to undertake.
Solent Sport places a large emphasis on community engagement and the facility is also regularly used by local football clubs and training academies.
Activities on offer
Test Park sports ground supports a wide range of outdoor sporting activities for the University, and the local community. Some of the activities hosted at the grounds include:
- 11-a-side Sunday student football league (4pm-10pm).
- Bookable slots for six- or 11-a-side football.
- Home to Oakwood Youth FC Charter FA Standard Club.
- Training base for Southampton FC girls and ladies teams.
- Elite training centre bridging the gap between grass roots and professional football for 8-16 year olds.
- Eastleigh and District under-eights mini soccer leagues.
- Football Garage professional goalkeeper coaching.
