It's an Open House at Solent
Solent University, Southampton is hosting an Open House - a new-for-2024 programme of events inviting the city to enjoy graduate shows and wraparound events.
Taking place Wednesday 29 May to Saturday 29 June, Solent Open House is a celebration of final major projects created by talented across a whole range of courses, as well as a look at riveting research taking place right here in Southampton. From fashion and art to film and music, the event is an opportunity for communities to step inside Solent and learn more about what's happening in the heart of their city.
Free and open to all, a variety of events and activities are being held that give residents - from families and friends to individuals - the chance to step inside the campus and tour impressive facilities while viewing an inspiring array of artworks, films and performances. Members of the public are also invited to participate in activities based on exciting research projects and meet some of the University's experts in widely interesting areas of academia.
Research event highlights across the month-long programme of Solent include diving into the world of Agatha Christie's Miss Marple, flexing photography skills at a practice-based workshop and celebrating female entrepreneurship. Visitors will also be able to experience life at sea in the Maritime Simulation Centre.

Solent Open House has something for everyone, from a broad range of creative arts - including film, media, music and performing arts, fine art, photography, fashion and beauty - to architecture and interiors, sociology, engineering, maritime and wellbeing.
