Admissions agreement

Solent University is committed to developing meaningful and effective partnerships within the educational community.  An admissions agreement aims to:

  • Develop excellent working relationships with sixth forms/colleges to enhance and support progression into higher education programmes at Solent.
  • Raise the aspirations of all those that have the potential to succeed in higher education
  • Increase and widen participation into higher education, by a commitment to providing supportive outreach activity to partner institutions and their students
  • Provide a unique admissions agreement for the students of partner colleges, including agreed entry criteria and access to high quality, professional recruitment outreach activity.

If you are interested in an admissions agreement, please contact us for further information.

Rewarding excellence

Unconditional offer scheme
Solent’s unconditional offer scheme focuses on applicants who can demonstrate exceptional academic performance in their education to date (including A-level, BTEC or equivalent). It provides them with an unconditional offer to continue their studies at Solent, securing a place well in advance of final results being released. We hope the unconditional offer will alleviate some of the pressure students feel, while enabling them to focus on achieving excellent grades.

Academic merit scholarship
Students eligible for an unconditional offer may also qualify for an undergraduate academic merit scholarship. The University offers UK students an undergraduate academic merit scholarship as a way to reward applicants who have demonstrated outstanding academic ability. These are awarded based on final results and will accumulate.
