Game development workshop using Unity 3D

An in-depth introduction to game development using Unity 3D. Students will quickly go through the basics of Unity3D, as well as the different aspects and editors of the game engine that can be applied to game programmers, game designers and level designers. We also cover C# as a programming language by creating a very basic video game - students can choose the genre on the fly!

Write your own 2D arcade game in Python using PyGame

An introduction to game programming with graphics and physics. We look at animating objects on the screen, getting player input and moving objects around the screen using the laws of physics.

Mobile games (Android)

Learn how to use Unity3D to make a simple roll-a-ball game and interface with the hardware of mobile devices. Students learn how to use Unity3D and are introduced to basic scripting. They can then use these new skills to build a small mobile game, ready for packaging and distribution in the Android store.

Duration: 1-2 hours (Wednesdays from 1pm only)
