Welcome

Team Solent Cricket competes in the top university league, regularly playing against some of the best teams in the country including Loughborough, Durham and Oxford. 

The men's team plays non-league fixtures against Hampshire's 2ndXI, giving players the perfect opportunity to take their game to the next level.

The team play outdoor cricket in the summer with their training taking place Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays at the Ageas Bowl or at Totton and Ealing cricket ground. The team also play indoor cricket in the winter and will be using the new Solent Sport Complex as their facility.

Team Solent Cricket has a pre-season training camp in Spain and selected individuals take part in an intensive pre-season training camp with Hampshire County Cricket Club in Durban, working with the Club's 1st XI coaches and training local pupils at a local secondary school.

Our History

Formed in 2011, Team Solent Cricket has reached the finals and quarter finals of the BUCS Championships three times and has been league runner-up three times in the last seven years. Indoor cricket has been introduced to the winter programme and the team became National Champions in 2005 and 2016/17. The club has now various men's and women's squads competing in both outdoor and indoor BUCS leagues.

Recent successes include:

  • BUCS National Indoor Men's Champions (2016/17).
  • BUCS (National Indoor Women's 3rd place (2016/17).
  • BUCS Women's Premier runners-up (2016/17).
  • BUCS National Premier League runners-up (2016/17).
  • BUCS 1A league winners (2016).
  • BUCS 3A 2nd place (2016).
  • BUCS 1A league winners (women's indoor team) (2015).
