Her most recent work, a video called 'My father's car' (2008), is showing in Multichannel 2008, a selection of contemporary artist video and film at ArtSway Gallery in the New Forest. My father's car is a poetic meditation, investigating the emotional space between imaginary and real experiences. Focusing on a young and middle-aged man, it is about a journey from the past and a sea crossing from known to unfamiliar territory. The film's narrative is driven by memories and the timeline is therefore not chronological.
This project was funded by Arts Council England, Film and Video Umbrella, The Norwegian Embassy and Southampton Solent University Centre for Advanced Scholarship in Art and Design.
