Tim Scrace

Associate Lecturer

School of Art, Design and Fashion

Biography

Tim lives and breathes architecture. He leads Architectural Illustration and is looking forward to contributing to design led elements of the Architectural Technology and Interior Design courses. His academic interests lie in representation, context and phenomenology.

As an artist and creative practitioner, Tim enjoys documenting spaces and engaging with the environment. Through his practice he looks to challenge the norm by abstracting the world around him, painting to see and shape space differently.

Tim is a Chartered Architect and member of the Royal Institute of British Architects.

He trained at Portsmouth and Liverpool universities before qualifying as an architect in 2006. After several years in the North West he decided to return to his roots in the South.

Having enjoyed success in delivering projects locally and with an established consultant network, Tim has recently made the leap to set up up his own practice. Scrace Architects, which operates from Salisbury, aims to ensure that each of its projects stands out and offers something special. The emphasis of the studio is on communication, collaboration and craft.
