Biography
David studied electrical and electronic engineering at the University of Salford and graduated with a BEng (Hons) degree in 1990.
Through his final year project, he developed an interest in full custom integrated circuits and upon graduation embarked on a career in the semiconductor industry. He spent 20 years working in various roles on the design and implementation of ASICs and SoCs for various consumer applications such as NICAM, DCC, CD-R, digital TV and set-top box.
David is now passing on his industry experience to students at Solent having been part of the engineering team since 2012. He teaches introduction to electronics, embedded systems and electronic circuits. He also supervises students for final year undergraduate projects.
