Biography
Jennifer has been studying and teaching popular music for more than 20 years.
Her first class honours degree from Oxford Brookes University in Music and Education paved the way for her subsequent master's degree in Music, History and Culture and her PhD in Music Journalism.
Over the last 16 years Jennifer has taught at many UK universities including Oxford Brookes, Oxford University, University of Bristol, Brunel University, Bucks New University and the University of Northampton.
Her work has been published in books and academic journals and she has recently collaborated with colleagues at Oxford Brookes University on a research paper focussing on music and copyright. Jennifer has also curated a music-themed museum exhibition and regularly performs original arrangements of popular music songs with a community choir.
As a Fellow of the HEA she is passionate about helping students achieve their full potential at university.
