Mohamed is a lecturer in business management, primarily specialising in entrepreneurship and innovation management. He is currently completing his PhD in innovation management, with a focus on open innovation.
With over 13 years of teaching experience in both UK and international universities, Mohamed has taught a wide range of modules related to entrepreneurship and innovation at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. He has served as a module leader for several entrepreneurship and innovation modules, including Creative Enterprise and Innovation, Social Enterprise, Introduction to Entrepreneurship, and Biotechnology Enterprise.
In addition to his teaching responsibilities, Mohamed has supervised numerous undergraduate and postgraduate dissertations in areas related to innovation and entrepreneurship.
His current research focuses on open innovation and knowledge transfer in SMEs, particularly within the context of developing countries. He is currently working towards publishing his work in peer-reviewed academic journals.
Mohamed has over 13 years of teaching experience at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, gained through academic roles in the UK and internationally. He has taught a variety of courses in business management, with a particular focus on entrepreneurship and innovation management.
Before joining Southampton Solent University, Mohamed held teaching roles at the University of Portsmouth, including part-time hourly paid lecturer in new product development and part-time Teaching Fellow in entrepreneurship. In these roles, he contributed to curriculum delivery and supported student development in key areas of innovation and entrepreneurial practice.
