Biography
Dr. Priti Tyagi is a Lecturer in business and project management at Southampton Solent University with over 26 years of diverse experience across academia and industry.
She brings a distinctive blend of project management expertise and leadership gained from delivering complex, high-impact projects in software, electronics, telecom, and digital transformation within financial services, government, aviation, and technology sectors.
Priti’s expertise lies in agile project management, digital transformation, cyber resilience, and business process optimisation.
At Southampton Solent University, Priti teaches a range of project management modules at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels blending theory with practical insights from her extensive industry background. She is the Module Lead for Contemporary Management Theory, supervises final-year student projects and dissertations, and serves as the Pathway Lead for the BSc (Hons) Business Management with Cyber Security.
Before transitioning to higher education in the UK, Priti managed software projects in the UK, leading the development of SaaS products, spearheading system integration projects, and delivering automation initiatives. Her work involved stakeholder engagement across eight countries, agile project delivery, and the successful deployment of software solutions. She held leadership roles such as Head of the Drone Application and Research Centre for Government of India, where she directed key technology projects.
Priti holds a PhD in electronics and communication engineering, an MBA with specialisation in project management and big data and deeper analytics from the University of Southampton and is a certified Scrum Master.
Her research interests include digital transformation, cyber resilience, and agile project management within dynamic business environment.
