Biography
Uje is an educator and researcher in business management with a focus on operations and supply chain management and sustainability. He holds a PhD in Manufacturing and Production Engineering from the University of Hertfordshire.
Before joining Southampton Solent University, he served as a Visiting Lecturer at the University of Hertfordshire's School of Physics, Engineering and Computer Science, where he taught and contributed to research on supply chain visibility and sustainable manufacturing.
His teaching portfolio spans undergraduate, postgraduate and executive education. He delivers modules including Operations Management, Operational Strategy, Contemporary Management Theory, Ecological Economics, Global Challenges for Sustainability and Research Methods.
Uje has also designed and taught courses in procurement, lean services, smart manufacturing and inventory management.
With hands-on experience at major logistics and distribution firms such as Amazon, Greencore, Royal Mail and DHL, Uje integrates real-world perspectives into his teaching. His professional background enhances the applied focus of his research and his commitment to practice-based education.
He is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA) and actively contributes to academic conferences and journals. His research explores sustainable supply chains, digital transformation in operations and responsible leadership.
