Will Cope

Biography

Will has been part of the University's teaching staff since 2007, passing on his passion for broadcasting principally on the sports journalism degree. He specialises in radio and voice training to students across all three years.

Professionally, Will’s been involved in radio since the late 1990s and has worked for a variety of local and national radio stations in America (New York City), Australia (Melbourne) and the UK.

Since 2008 he’s also worked in television for broadcasters such as BBC Sport, Sky Sports, Al Jazeera Sport, IMG and Chelsea TV.

He’s an accomplished football radio commentator and reporter who has covered domestic, European and international matches and tournaments, including the FIFA World Cup, the UEFA Champions League, Europa League and the FA Cup.

He has also reported on the London 2012 Olympics, golf’s Ryder Cup and the US Masters.
