Lois is Dean of the School of Business, Law and Society.
Experience
Lois brings extensive senior leadership experience from her role as executive dean of Bournemouth University Business School, where she successfully led major organisational transformations, secured AACSB reaccreditation, and strengthened partnerships with industry, the NHS, and professional bodies. She has also held senior positions as deputy dean (education and professional practice) and head of department, with responsibility across leadership, human resources and organisational behaviour, strategy, operations, and project management.
Throughout her career, Lois has championed values-led leadership, inclusive education, and the vital connection between universities, organisations, and communities. As a professor in leadership practice, she has directed strategic projects such as the evaluation of the NHS ‘Patient First’ continuous improvement system, the multi-stakeholder re-imagining of the Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole region, and the development of UK management education standards. She has also played an active role in executive education and supported the professional growth of senior leaders through board-level engagement.
In addition to her university leadership, Lois is a Chartered Companion of the Chartered Management Institute (CMI) and serves as Chair of the CMI South West Regional Board, where she champions professional management and leadership development across the region.
