CLEARING 2025 IS NOW OPEN

Mental health and wellbeing team

Our dedicated mental health advisers are here to help you access the right support, both at the University and through external services if needed.

You won’t need to manage everything on your own. Whether you already have a diagnosed mental health condition or encounter difficulties during your time at university, our team can work with you to build a support plan that suits your needs.

How our mental health advisers can help

  • Personalised support plans to help you feel settled and supported at university.

  • One-off sessions to talk through your options and signpost to specialist services.

  • Ongoing support, if needed, to help you stay on track with your studies while additional services are arranged.

  • Guidance on accessing help for alcohol or substance misuse, or support around domestic or sexual violence.

  • Pre-arrival support, if you have an existing care plan or diagnosis and want to make sure support is in place before you start.

You can reach out to our team at any time during your university journey—whether before you start your course or at any point during your studies.

A confidential service you can trust

We understand it can be difficult to open up, and we treat all conversations with care and respect. Your confidentiality is very important to us, and we encourage you to read more about how we protect your privacy on our page which sits on our student site.
