Mark, You were a kind and patient colleague who helped me develop legal documents for several projects. May you rest in peace - you will be sorely missed but remembered with fondness.
I was going to home and see you, to let you know that I finally got an Msc and a job of my dreams but I never got the chance. I know you would have been proud of me. Sign on champ xx
I am honored and blessed to have known you Mark. Mark, you were truly a blessing in our lives and will be greatly missed.
You will not be forgotten!
Fly high angel ❤️
So sad to lose Mark.My abiding memory of Mark is his talent as a presenter and a communicator and how much time he always seemed to have for his students. RIP.
Rest in peace Mark. A knowledgeable, witty teacher, you inspired me. Thank you for everything.
On behalf of the senior management team, I'd like to pay tribute to Mark's commitment to the University and to the Law programme in particular - now one of the top Law undergraduate courses in England. We were all shocked and saddened to hear of his passing and we know that he will be sorely missed by colleagues and students alike.
We have lost a special colleague and teacher:
' A master can tell you what he expects of you. A teacher though awakens your own expectation.' Patricia Neal 1926 -2010.
You were truly an inspiration to us all. Thank you for putting your all into our education.
You were a true teacher, always there to support all your students, both inside and outside of the classroom. I will forever appreciate the nuggets of advice you have given me for succeeding in this world. You would always say it like it is, yet reassure me that I am capable of achieving it regardless. Thank you Mark, I hope you are now at peace x
Even though my experience with Mark was short, he was honestly one of the nicest, most helpful and humble lecturers who will be greatly missed. Enjoyed my short time with him, someone who made sure every query I had was answered and also supported me when I was anxious and unsure with my work.
You will be greatly missed Mark. Rest in Perfect Peace x
Back to top
Mark was an outstanding human being; as a teacher he would go beyond the necessary to provide us with the best experiences, lessons and knowledge. He was helpful and patient, he wouldn't mind explaining over and over again, but better than that, he trusted in us, he believed in us and what we were capable of.
There are no words that can express the loss of a person like Mark, there is no way of imagining our last year without him being part of it, but we will come back to that reality soon and, for now, all that I know is that he will be missed.
It was too soon and too unexpected, but I honestly hope he is in a better place, watching over us all and seeing us accomplish what he expected.
I hope to meet your expectations Mark, and I wish you were here to celebrate them then.
See you soon.
Mark was a great person, teacher mentor and friend. He inspired every person that he met in his life. The world lost out on one of a very few people that cared for everyone that he knew and never judged anyone's background. Rest in peace Mark, you will be very missed.
See you soon brudda!
