Develop the confidence, knowledge, and skills to be an effective leader. Learn how to drive performance and sustainability in organisations. Study while continuing to work in industry, supported by an experienced academic team
Solent’s Senior Leader Master’s Degree Apprenticeship follows the MBA Master of Business Administration curriculum. This is dual-accredited with the CMI Level 7 Strategic Management and Leadership Diploma, which is embedded across key units. Upon completion of the apprenticeship, you will be eligible to apply for Chartered Manager status and Fellowship of the CMI. This will be subject to management experience and application process.
You’ll have the opportunity to engage with a number of organisations. You'll investigate real life business situations and challenges. This is achieved through an industry guest speaker programme, visits to businesses, and completion of work-based assignments. Professional mentoring and reflective practice will further develop your leadership skills to take forward in your management career.
The degree is designed to be flexible and fit around your own working schedule. You'll study on a part-time basis, spending ten long weekends in total (Friday - Sunday) at the University, with additional support to prepare you for the End Point Assessment (EPA).

The School has extensive business experience at senior level, management consulting experience, and research interests in applied business and management.
This course is perfect for those currently in a management role, who wish to progress their career to senior management level.

Businesses with an annual payroll above £3million will be classed as a levy paying employer and will be able to use funds accrued in their digital apprenticeship service (DAS) account for payment of the training. Please contact us for guidance on fees if you are a non-levy employer which will cover at least 95% of the costs. The programme cost is £18,000.
You can find out more about funding an apprenticeship and the new apprenticeship levy in our guide for employers.
Applicants should hold a first or second class honours degree from any recognised institution and have a current senior management position, however individual employers will set selection criteria for their Apprenticeships. This may involve previous management experience, having undertaken an apprenticeship or qualifications. English and Maths will be required at a minimum of level 2 prior to the end point assessment.
