About the course

The aim of this course is to provide candidates with an understanding of the techniques and skills related to the game of Futsal. This will help candidates organise and deliver basic Futsal practices and it will also provide candidates with an introduction to the structure of the game, the laws and the role Futsal can play in developing underlying techniques and skills.

Course pre-requisites:
  • Hold a current FA Emergency Aid qualification
  • Hold a current FA Safeguarding Children qualification
  • You must provide your FAN number. To obtain or retrieve a FAN number - go to https://secure.thefa.com/FAN/Register.aspx
    • This is to ensure your attendance is recorded against the correct Football Association account.

What you'll study

Course content:

On completion of the course the candidate should be able to:-

  • Understand and appreciate the fundamentals of futsal.
  • Organise and coach the basic skills and techniques of futsal.
  • Understand the basic principles of attack and defence of futsal.
  • Appreciate the 'Laws of the Game' of futsal.
  • Have an appreciation of the fitness demands of futsal.
Course exam/certificate:

In order to gain a certificate, you must:

  • Attend all course hours
  • Provide your FAN number
  • Hold a current FA Emergency Aid qualification
  • Hold a current FA Safeguarding Children qualification
