About the course

This course provides NQSWs with evidence for the accreditation of Prior Certificated Learning for the Consolidation Unit within the PQ Adults.

Newly qualified social workers (NQSWs) gain credit for learning undertaken in achieving the 12 Outcomes of the Skills for Care NQSW Framework in adult services.

NQSWs follow employer programmes within the workplace and undertake an assessment which focuses on Outcome 12: Professional Development and Accountability.

They are supported by managers through supervision, facilitated action learning sets, targeted induction and training activities according to their own needs.

    A relevant professional qualification to DipHE level or above (240 credits) and currently undertaking practice with adults in a social care context.

Areas covered include professional relationships, communication, referral, assessment, planning and intervention, review, safeguarding, recording and sharing information, service development, multi-agency working, community capacity building, professional development and accountability.
