Free gym membership
As part of our support package, your first semester’s membership for the gym in our on-campus sports complex is completely free.
The Solent Sports Complex has a fully-staffed 90-station gym with over 40 pieces of cardio equipment, sports halls, fitness studios and much more.

We're also offering students on courses in some subject areas additional items to help welcome them into the course community.
- Social work students will receive a Solent branded jacket to use on work experience placements.
- Nursing students will receive a branded Solent nursing hoodie.
- For make-up and hair design students, the cost of your make-up kit for your first year will be covered by the University. Your kit is worth approximately £650.
- Sport students will receive Solent branded sports kit for your first year.
Guaranteed accommodation
We are offering a guaranteed room in University-managed halls of residence if you confirm your place by 4 September 2024 (subject to availability). As where you live can have a real impact on settling into university life, our student residences offer a variety of options and cater for different needs to help you feel comfortable, safe, and happy with where you live.
