Care leavers
If you are a young person who is leaving care to study at Solent for a degree, we have a support package in place to help you succeed while you are a student here.
We're all about empowering our student community to live their best lives when studying at Solent - no matter their circumstances or background. And that's why we offer a wide range of support for estranged students, students who are care leavers, LGBTQ+ and Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic students.
Mature students are also an important part of our student community and we welcome their contribution to the student body, while also recognising their specific needs - for which we can provide support.
Our teams are here to offer financial, wellbeing, and academic support to any student who needs it - with warmth, understanding, and no judgement.
