Your career so far sounds impressive. Give us the highlights.
Since graduating, I've worked as a Lead Academy Goalkeeper Coach at APOEL FC and Omonia FC — two of Cyprus's biggest clubs. I'm now Head of Goalkeeping at KVIK Halden FK in Norway. Alongside that, I work with The Online Goalkeeper Coach providing analysis and mentoring, and I run my own goalkeeping academy in Cyprus.
So, what does a typical day actually look like for you?
As Head of Goalkeeping, no two days are the same — which I love. I plan and deliver goalkeeper sessions, analyse performances, mentor players and support their development on and off the pitch. I oversee the first team and help shape the academy's goalkeeping pathway. It's dynamic, challenging, and genuinely rewarding every single day.

My time at Solent played a huge role in shaping both my career and mindset. The experiences and opportunities there helped prepare me for working internationally in football.
Why Solent? What made you think 'this is the place'?
Solent stood out because it blended academic learning with real, hands-on coaching experience from day one. I loved that I could study sport in depth while building skills that genuinely impact athletes and people. It felt connected to the actual industry, not just textbooks. That real-world focus was exactly what I was looking for in a university.
Your lecturers — what made them genuinely different?
My lecturers were a massive part of my experience. They were always approachable and supportive. Whether it was academic guidance or career advice, there was always someone willing to help push you in the right direction. Their sessions on Principles of Coaching were practical and engaging, and my dissertation supervisor helped shape me both academically and professionally. What made them stand out was how approachable they were and the real-world experience they brought into every session. I still keep in touch with them today.
Tell us everything about your practical experiences at Solent
One of my favourite experiences was the programme at Abbeyfield Care Home, using sport and activity to reduce loneliness among elderly residents. It genuinely showed me how powerful physical activity can be in people's lives. I also gained coaching experience with Saints Foundation and St Mary's Primary School, working across different environments and age groups.

The facilities gave us the opportunity to put theory into practice consistently. Having access to quality sports environments and coaching spaces really helped prepare us for working in the industry.
What are you working towards right now? Any big goals?
I'm continuing to develop goalkeepers through my club, my online platform and my academy. I'm also working towards my UEFA A Licence and eventually want to pursue a PhD. Ultimately? I'd love to end up in the Premier League, who wouldn't? There are exciting things ahead, and I'm building towards all of them.
Your proudest career moment so far?
Seeing goalkeepers I've coached progress to national teams is something I'm incredibly proud of. Beyond trophies, knowing you've genuinely shaped someone's journey is the most rewarding feeling. I'm also proud to have worked internationally, attended major goalkeeping seminars, and supported over 50 goalkeepers throughout my coaching career so far.
What's the one piece of advice you'd give someone starting out?
Take every opportunity, even the uncomfortable ones — especially those. Adaptability is everything in coaching. When you feel like giving up, that's actually the moment to push harder; that's where the breakthroughs happen.
Aim to become the coach you always wanted or never had. Stay humble, keep learning and commit to growing a little bit every single day.
