
University strengthens civic partnerships to drive city growth
Solent welcomed civic and business representatives to discuss the university's role in the future of the region

On Thursday 6 November, Southampton Solent University held the inaugural Impact Board for the School of Business, Law and Society. As the University transforms its approach to learning teaching, with practice-led experience at its heart, leaders came together to begin an exciting new journey.
The launch marks a milestone for the School and emphasises how the University’s Strategy 2035 will deepen industry collaboration, strengthen Solent’s civic role, and ensure their teaching offer is meeting the needs of tomorrow.
Chaired by Ty Francis MBE, a globally-recognised executive and entrepreneur, the new Board brings together exceptional leaders from across business, law, public services and innovation. Their collective role is clear: to help shape a School that is practice-led, impact-first, region-powered and globally aware.
