There are many reasons for applying to university through Clearing – from applying for the first time to missing the initial UCAS deadline, not meeting conditions and offers with firm/insurance choice universities or having a change of mind on where and what you want to study.

Debbie House, Solent University’s Head of UK Student Recruitment, Admissions and Widening Participation says, “Whether you are a first-time applicant, or are already in the UCAS system, we are here to help. My team are ready and waiting to take your call to discuss your path to success.”

“We are here to support you every step of the way, helping to make the process less daunting and as straightforward as possible.”

As well as calling the Clearing hotline on 023 8001 1722, you will be able to speak to staff on email, Twitter, Facebook, live web chat, Instagram and Whatsapp– all contact details can be found on our website at solent.ac.uk/clearing.

Solent’s Clearing hotline is open from the 5 July to 17 August from 08.30 to 17.00 Monday to Thursday and from 08.30 to16.30 on Fridays.

We will be extending our opening hours during the period of results release on Thursday 18 August from 07.30 to 19.30 and from 07.30 to 18.00 on Friday 19 August.

After these dates the clearing hotline remains open from 08.30 to 17.00 Monday to Thursday and 08.30 to 16.30 on Fridays until 28 September.

Before making a final decision, applicants can get a taste of ‘life at Solent’ at one of our tailored Clearing events on Friday 19 August and Monday 22 August at 14.00. During the events, there will be opportunities to chat to our academic teams, plan accommodation and find out more about studying in Southampton.
