Colum Conway, CEO of Social Work England will deliver a keynote speech on some of the latest developments in social work practice and policy. He will be introduced by Karen Stanton, Vice-Chancellor of Solent University.

Dr David Galley, Course Leader in Social Work at Solent says: “We are very much looking forward to bringing together everyone with shared values to continually explore and improve social work practices, particularly in light of the recent negative media coverage of social work. Our student colleagues have been working extremely hard to prepare to share their research findings and are interested in sharing these widely. Our courses are well established, and we take great pride in having firm relationships with community leaders in the social work arena in which many student colleagues develop their careers.”

The event will be followed by an opportunity to view the research posters in various breakout rooms and discuss some of the latest developments in social work, refreshments will also be available.

The conference is open to the public and is advertised on Eventbrite, with delegates invited to obtain a complimentary ticket here.
