Our applicant taster days offer you the opportunity to get a real feel of what it's like to be a student at Solent University. As well as get involved with interactive taster sessions, you can also meet with our support teams, visit accommodation, and explore the campus. More information about the specific activities you can get involved in will be confirmed after booking.

If you attend a physical open day and live outside the local authority of Southampton City Council, or have travelled from outside the UK, you can apply to receive an Amazon voucher towards the cost of travel to the event.

Can't make it to an open day?

Why not attend a campus tour. You'll be guided around the campus by one of our student ambassadors and shown the main facilities. Please note, at this time we're unable to include the residences on the tour.

On demand virtual open days

Overview

Our on-demand virtual open days have all the information you will find at an on-campus open day at the touch of a button. You'll be able to hear from our student ambassadors about their experience of being a student at Solent, from studying, to student support, and living in Southampton.

You'll also be able to listen to pre-recorded course talks, hosted by the academic teams, that will give you an insight into your chosen course.  We have videos on student finance, student support, applying, and the student experience. And to complete the package - take a virtual tour of our campus and our excellent facilities, and see where you could be living on a virtual tour of our student accommodation.
