If you're thinking of starting a postgraduate degree at Solent, our open days give you the perfect opportunity to discover the wide range of MA, MSc, LLM and MBA courses we offer.

You'll feel right at home at our friendly and welcoming campus where you can talk to and ask questions of course leaders about your chosen course, and explore our industry-standard facilities. Depending on the event you choose to book, you'll also be able to chat to our admissions, student finance, and Student Hub teams about enrolment, funding and student support.

We also know that some people can't attend an on-campus open day, or would feel more comfortable learning about Solent at home, which is why we're offering some events virtually, as well as our on-demand open day.

Solent is the only university on the south coast to achieve a triple gold rating in the Teaching Excellence Framework (TEF) 2023 - why not visit an open day to find out more about our award-winning teaching.

What to expect

Our postgraduate afternoon aims to provide you with everything you need to know about choosing to study a postgraduate degree, finding the course that's right for you, and embarking on your postgraduate journey.

With some of our postgraduate courses starting in May, this is an ideal time to learn about our offering.

During this session you'll hear from our postgraduate team who will provide you with information on studying at Solent. Our student funding team will also be there to provide information on how to finance your studies, and our admissions team will be able to answer questions on how to apply.

The session will end with a Q&A with a panel including our international team, current students, and support staff.

Please note, this session is not suitable for you to ask personal questions about your application, such as deadline or CAS requests.

The event is for students interested in studying for a postgraduate degree only.

On-demand virtual open days

Overview

Our on-demand virtual open days have all the information you will find at an on-campus open day at the touch of a button. You'll be able to hear from students about their experience of studying at Solent, including student support, and living in Southampton.

You'll also be able to listen to pre-recorded course talks, hosted by the academic teams, that will give you an insight into your chosen course. We have videos on student finance, student support, applying, and the student experience. And to complete the package - take a virtual tour of our campus and our excellent facilities, as well as our student accommodation.
