When you arrive you'll need to register in The Spark building at our East Park Terrace campus (SO14 0YN). Registration opens at 9am. Our team will give you a quick welcome talk and a copy of the programme.

There's plenty of parking in Southampton city centre, take a look at the map on our find us page. We've also teamed up with the city's park and ride to offer additional convenient spaces - take a look at the times and location.

If you are a Blue Badge holder and require parking on campus, please get in touch with our team and we can ensure a space is reserved for you.

We asked our student ambassadors about their highlights. They recommend taking a guided campus and residence tour and especially attending the course sessions, where you'll be able to meet your potential academics and peers and delve deeper into your course of study.

Yes! We have a number of outlets open throughout the campus that offer a range of food and drinks.

To ensure the event is safe and that we can see as many prospective students as possible, we ask that you bring a maximum of two guests with you to the open day.

All of our facilities will be open and most of them will let you get up close and personal with some of the kit you may be using during your studies. Keep an eye out for demonstrations from our current students too!

Yes. Both the Kimber and Chantry student residences will be open from 9.30am to 3.30pm. Our free shuttle service will depart from outside the library to Kimber every 30 minutes until 3pm.

Please note: students can tour the residences with one other guest only. Any other guests in attendance are welcome to make use of the activities on campus during this time.

Our virtual open days aim to offer you the same information as an on-campus open day, but from the comfort of your home. These are particularly useful for international applicants, or if you want to get a feel for Solent before coming to an on-campus open day.

After you've registered, you'll be sent a link to the virtual open day page which has links to information such as accommodation, student support, the city of Southampton, our facilities, virtual campus tours, and more!

Course talks are held on Teams - you'll hear from your course leader and you'll have the opportunity to ask any questions you may have about your chosen area of study.

Yes! We hold open days for undergraduate, postgraduate, apprenticeships, and officer cadetship (careers at sea) applicants.

At these open days you'll find tailored information relating to the type of study you're interested in and our course teams and support teams can offer help and advice for all.

All events listed on this page are clearly marked as to what type of study they're suitable for, so why not sign up for your next event today!

You don't need to bring anything specific with you. But you may find it useful to bring a notebook and pen to jot down answers to any questions you've asked, or for making a note of any other useful information.

You can stay for as long as you need. There are talks and activities taking place throughout the day so feel free to plan your day to suit you. But please be aware of the time of your course talk!

You can also leave the campus to take a look around the city centre to get a feel for Southampton before returning for more open day activities or talks.

There's plenty of help available if you need pointing in the right direction to get to your course talk or anywhere else on campus. Our student ambassadors are present all over campus and will be more than happy to guide you - they're easy to spot in their red t-shirts or hoodies.
