The Innovation Network
The Innovation Network (IN) is an ERDF-funded programme helping small- and medium-sized enterprises in the UK to access university expertise to create or improve products and services, as well as exploit new market niches and grow.
Solent University is one of the three university partners in the project, along with the University of Southampton and the University of Portsmouth, who together with the National Oceanographic Centre (NOC) and the Isle of Wight Council make up the project partnership.

Venturefest South (VFS) is a regional network of organisations working to encourage and support innovation in the region and strengthen the connections between innovators, investors and entrepreneurs.
As one of the founders of VFS, Solent University works with partners to accelerate the translation of innovations and new technologies into increased economic growth by providing a signature network event, supported by workshops and activities throughout the year.
#VFS18 provided an established and recognised platform for businesses and entrepreneurs to promote their ideas and access funding.
In addition, the network organises a series of supporting ‘rumble events’ throughout the year, providing members with skills development and networking opportunities.
