Jarutas has been working on multiple research projects related to data science-oriented projects, ie, data engineering, data analysis, and data modelling. For example:
- Proof of concept for an AI procedure in chest X-Ray screening, funded by The Global Challenges Research Fund (GCRF@Essex Engagement Fund)
- Interactive monitoring and feedback for tele-rehabilitation on mobile application and developing a system, for health care analysis by using big data for osteoarthritis patients, a funded project with industry (Thaicom)
- Sleepwalking Detection and Monitoring System Using Smart Devices.
She also has been working in the data analytics domain. For example, analysing Twitter data to monitor a flooding incident in Hat Yai municipality in Thailand, and a prediction model using supervised learning approach. She also has been appointed to a consultancy committee for the Royal College of Radiologists of Thailand, for developing AI procedures related to researching and developing tools for improved medical diagnosis.
Her research focus is on using technology for supporting the health care system, to improve quality of life and accessibility of advanced healthcare technologies and enhancing teaching and learning using technologies.
