Charlotte Logue
MA, BA (Hons), PGCLTHE, FHEA
Lecturer
Department of Art and Music

Biography
Charlotte Logue is a lecturer within the Department of Art and Music, teaching across the BA (Hons) Make-Up and Hair Design, BA (Hons) Prosthetics and Special Effects Design and MA Make-up and Hair Design Futures courses.
As an academic, Charlotte is centred in the field of beauty, identity and aesthetics. Her work combines theory and practice by integrating references to visual culture, the cosmetic body, and psychology. The focus of this work is to deepen our understanding of how beauty ideologies influence social constructs, practices and identities. These perspectives are intertwined with her own research pathways which centre on redefining the role of beauty in connection to the cosmetic body, feminine identity and ritual through a more esoteric lens.
Core teaching and delivery centres on establishing industry connections and professional progression, alongside encouraging students to challenge expectations in the production of creative content. Charlotte’s background in art direction and make-up artistry offers professional insight and an industry centred approach to teaching. Topics of delivery include academic research support, professional practice, implementing creative briefs, conceptual image curation, project development, art direction and applying visual narrative to the production of commercially successful content.
