Biography

Charlotte is a lecturer, art director and make-up artist specialising in fashion, beauty and psychology.

Charlotte’s practice draws on her background as an art director and make-up artist implementing creative briefs, communicating brand identities, managing clients and applying visual narrative to the production of commercially successful visual content. Her experience in leading diverse creative teams within a fast paced, studio environment transfers into her academic role by providing an industry centred approach to teaching. Her academic focuses centre on establishing industry relevance, with emphasis on the creative economy, art direction, professional practice, image construction and make-up for fashion, editorial and beauty. This is in addition to her more specialised interests on the application of psychology to the curation of fashion and beauty content, the idea of beauty as a social construct and explorations into the future of beauty, human identity and the cosmetic body.
