Dr Diandra Saginatari

Diandra’s industry experience is grounded in creative and design‑led collaboration at the intersection of academia and community engagement.

Her practice includes work as part of the design team (with the Architecture Design Lab, Universitas Indonesia) for Sekolah Indonesia Cepat Tanggap (SICT), contributing to a post‑disaster school reconstruction project in Indonesia (2018–2019).

She has also worked as a Researcher and Project Officer for BEKRAF Creative Labs in Architecture, supported by the Indonesian Agency for Creative Economy and the Universitas Indonesia Centre of Excellence in Architecture Grant (2017–2019). In 2017, she led a university‑funded community engagement project focused on developing children’s creativity through craft and architecture.

Diandra’s research interests focus on spatial practices and inhabitation, examining how everyday life is shaped through the use and occupation of space. She is particularly interested in materiality across urban, architectural, interior, and heritage contexts, exploring how materials mediate social, cultural, and spatial experiences.
