Biography
Steph is a Sport Rehabilitator by trade, currently teaching on the BSc (Hons) Sport and Exercise Therapy and MSc Sport and Exercise Medicine in Football degrees.
Having graduated from her undergraduate degree in 2010, Steph spent several years in industry working across several sports, for the UK military and in private practice. She holds a MSc in Strength and Conditioning and a MSc by Research investigating kicking-related injuries and mechanics in rugby union. Steph has recently returned from a spell in Australia and is completing her PhD investigating the effects of injury and exercise on the hamstrings, with a focus on the tendon tissue.
Further information
Steph has a varied work history. She was a part-time Sport Rehabilitator for Reading FC’s academy for almost 10 years. Steph also has experience working in rugby, cricket, ice hockey and with individual athletes. In addition, she spent three years as a civilian Exercise Rehabilitation Instructor for the Ministry of Defence and has worked in private healthcare clinics
