Biography

Tutu Baffo Ewusie is a registered nurse with over 18 years of experience. She is currently a lecturer in adult nursing at Solent University, leading the Public Health modules. Before her current appointment, she worked and gained extensive experience in the UK and Ghana as a Registered Nurse, occupational health practice nurse and assistant lecturer at the East Surrey Hospital (SASH), Holy Family Hospital, Techiman and the Valley View University, Ghana (Techiman Campus) maintaining her professional registration with the Nurses and Midwifery Councils for UK and Ghana.

She holds a master’s degree in public health from Chester University with funding from the Westminster and the Ghana Education Trust Fund Scholarships, a BSc in nursing from the University for Development Studies, Ghana, and a diploma in nursing from the Berekum Nurses and Midwifery Training College, Ghana. She is a budding researcher with research interests in various topics on non-Communicable diseases, Communicable diseases, immunizations, Maternal and Child Health, marginalized communities, Public health and policy health inequalities and health-related issues. She is currently on course to complete a PhD with De Montfort University, Leicester, funded by the Ghana Scholarship Secretariat.

Tutu is a Registered Nurse who worked as a staff nurse, occupational health practice nurse, senior nursing officer and assistant lecturer at the East Surrey Hospital (SASH), Holy Family Hospital, Techiman and the Valley View University, Ghana (Techiman Campus) maintaining her professional registration with the Nurses and Midwifery Council.

She was an internal examiner for the NMC-Ghana licencing exam.
